Bed and breakfast in Provence gardens
While Pauline Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, liked to stay in this part of Grasse, it was Baronne Alice de Rothschild who, in the early years of the twentieth century, decided to make this domain the most beautiful garden in the world.
There were no fewer than 50 gardeners employed then on the property to plant the rarest species of trees and to ensure the gardens were meticulously maintained.
In Provence the B and B Villa Coste d'Or is situated in the gardens of the residence of Baronne Alice de Rothschild, in a part that she fondly referred to as "my mountain".
At the bottom of the gardens of the Bed & breakfast Villa Coste d'Or in Provence, you can take the same underground passageway that Baronne Alice de Rothschild would use to return to her palace. This will bring you right into the old part Grasse. Under century old olive trees and in the same line as the swimming pool, relax in comfortable deck chairs and enjoy the sunshine.
